Band of The Week
I decided to pick Blink-182 as band of the week!! If you've been on Alternative Press in the past few days you've probably seen everything that's been happening with the whole Tom Delonge thing. If not let me fill you in.Vocalist/bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker will be moving forward without the participation of vocalist/guitarist Tom DeLonge. “We were all set to play this festival and record a new album and Tom kept putting it off without reason. A week before we were scheduled to go in to the studio we got an email from his manager explaining that he didn’t want to participate in any Blink-182 projects indefinitely, but would rather work on his other non-musical endeavors.” Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus plan to honor all Blink-182 commitments including the Musink Festival and are excited to have singer/guitarist Matt Skiba join them for this project." CBS Radio reports. As far as I'm concerned I am truly disappointed that Tom will not be apart of the band anymore and I really wish that he didn't decide to leave. But you gotta think about it this way, every band loses a member here and there, every band turns on each other every now and then, and every band does it's best to make sure that it stays together. They make sure they stay together for fans, the friendships they have with each other, the amazing people they met as a band and most importantly, they stay together because making music is what they love doing.
